EXHIBITIONS
2025
The vibrant spirit of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) heritage will be on full display at the highly anticipated 3rd Annual AAPI Show, opening on Friday, May 2nd. Hosted at Thumbprint Gallery, this community-centered exhibition will run from May 2 to May 31, celebrating the artistic voices and cultural narratives of AAPI artists.
The show kicks off with a special Opening Reception on May 2 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Guests will have the chance to meet attending artists and enjoy refreshments while immersing themselves in the rich diversity of AAPI art.
Gallery co-owner, Johnny Tran, will also be performing a short set at 7:00 PM, celebrating the release of his fourth solo album, The New Deal, an expression of rebirth and renewal with the openness to see the world from different perspectives. The album marks a transition in his creative journey into a new genre mix of synthwave, electropop, and a variety of dance music styles. The New Deal takes the listener through upbeat, light pop-influenced tracks to dark, brooding basslines and pulsating beats.
This year’s exhibition continues the tradition of honoring heritage through creativity, showcasing a wide array of mediums—from painting and sculpture to photography and mixed media—that reflect the unique perspectives and lived experiences of AAPI creators.
“We are thrilled to bring the community together again for this annual celebration of identity, artistry, and resilience. Each piece in this exhibition tells a story, and we invite everyone to witness and support the incredible talent within the AAPI community.”
The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
